KRFK GLOBAL COLLAB BAND PROJECTS

In April 2020, KRFK was to hold our biggest fundraising show yet. City-wide auditions were held. The lineup was set. But just 2 weeks before the show, Covid-19 struck. NYC schools were closed and the city was going into lockdown! Before everything completely shut down, KRFK quickly pivoted, put together a video team, and filmed all the bands’ sets. We put on a livestream fundraiser just a few weeks into lockdown! Hundreds tuned in! It was our most successful fundraising concert, raising over $10,000 for kids in crisis, who needed our help now more than ever!

Once KRFK went livestream, we started to hear from kids from all around the world, wanting to get involved…

Over the two year lockdown, KRFK connected with incredible young musicians from every corner of the planet! We produced several virtual livestream shows, music video shows and started our first collaboration band - SIX CONTINENTS, with one virtuoso player from every inhabited continent! Brazil, The UK, Hawaii, South Africa, Indonesia and Australia!

Once the world started to open back up, and live shows started up again , KRFK invited the musicians from Six Continents to travel NYC - 3 continents came the first year in 2022, and the annual Come Together Global Teen Rock Festival began!
